Following in his sisters’ footsteps, here is Morrison’s journal page. It won’t really be his own personal musings, obviously. We just thought that would be a catchy title. Follow along to see what life as a boy is like in this household – something new and different for sure!
(FYI, because I write so much about these kids, their pages are all broken into yearly chunks so as not to crash my site. I’ll keep the current year on the main page for ease of use. Enjoy!)

You lost your last tooth today! Big #20. It hadn’t even been loose, but those baby molars with shallow roots don’t take much to get out. Well, the Tooth Fairy has had a good run with you, Skittle!

You got to play your viola in the Music for Munchkins orchestra concert over at the high school this afternoon, and you did a great job! 5th graders got to play a song with the high schoolers, and it had a Wizard of Oz theme. It was so fun seeing you up on that stage, because neither of your sisters played the viola in 5th grade to get to do this. So fun!

Snow day!! It was so random, because until about 9:00 last night there was nothing but rain! But the school district emailed us all around 7:00pm, saying that due to the forecasted gale-force winds plus predicted snow, they were preemptively cancelling everything for today. Daddy even got off work, too! And I guess it was a good thing they did, because it turned into a total blizzard overnight. I don’t think we’ve ever had a March snow day before!

You get to play on the Hot Rods again in Majors this spring and summer! Well, they’re the Giants now, but it’s the same coaching staff and many of the kids who were on your championship Hot Rods team a few summers ago. You’re so excited, and so am I. This is your first year of Majors, and I can’t wait to watch you on the field again!

Ok, so we were totally wrong on your last tooth, and your REAL last tooth came out today! I don’t know how we did that – we’ve never screwed up the Tooth Fairy’s last visit before. 😀

As a 5th grader, you get to be an umpire for the Pee Wees baseball and softball teams through Little League, and you had your umpire training session today. Your first paid job at age 10! I love it!

Your grade went to BizTown today where you basically work in your own little city, and you were a Loss Control Specialist for Komatsu. You had so much fun!

Tonight was your spring orchestra concert, and it was held at the other elementary school. I dropped you off at 6:45 for rehearsal since it was combined with the other school, then I went back a little after 7:15 to get ready for the concert to start at 7:30. Too bad I had that totally wrong and the concert actually started at 7, so I only caught the tail end of it. Oops, I’m so sorry!! You didn’t care, though, and I got to hear solidly half of it. 🙂

Your first umpire game! You get paid $15 per game to ump Pee Wees, plus a free drink from the Snack Shack. Sounds like the perfect job for you to me!

Today was the Wax Museum for the 5th graders, which I absolutely love. You chose Neil Armstrong, and you did a great job!

I took you to Little League night at AmFam Field tonight, and you had so much fun. You got to walk around the field before the game with some of your teammates, and we saw a Brewers win!
